An acrylic painting on canvas titled Indian Squaw by listed California genre painter John Pace (c.1930 – 2006). This piece uses thin washes of paint to depict a Native American woman making her way through a field of dry grass, the fringe on her dress and the feathers on a drum dangling from one hand blowing in the wind. This piece is signed and partially dated ‘8-’ to its lower right edge, and is mounted in a slim wooden frame with a hanging wire to its verso.
