An oil painting on panel titled African Veld by South African artist Pieter Van Blommestein. This painterly landscape depicts a wide span of yellowish grass with a range of purple mountains in the distance and a cloud-covered sky hanging overhead. This piece is marked with an incised signature reading ‘P. Van Blommenstein’ to its lower right corner and is mounted in a green and off-white wooden frame with a wire to its verso along with a notation of the title in marker.
