Antique American Empire Flame Mahogany Secretary Desk

Item Details

An American Empire flame mahogany veneered secretary desk circa 1825. The piece comprises a broken arch pediment with brass mounts on the scrolls and reeded central block. Two paneled doors with skeleton key opening, reveal sectioned and drawer storage. A fold-out desk rests on side pull-glides and is covered in a green writing surface. Three hand-cut dovetail joinery drawers with brass escutcheons fall below. The case stands on turned legs.
