An oil painting on canvas board of a seascape by artist A.V. Nierop. This painting depicts a coastal scene with a warm sky, crashing ocean waves, and seagulls soaring overhead. It is signed by hand to the lower left corner and presented in a wooden frame with an off-white fabric liner. To the verso is a paper backing and metal hanging wire.

- some accretions; minor areas of paint loss and surface abrasion; some discoloration to fabric liner; minor surface and edge wear to frame.
