Antique Lehmann Tin Walking Beetle

An antique Lehmann walking beetle. This tin litho wind-up beetle was produced in Germany between 1898 and 1935. The beetle is presented in shades of green, yellow, red and black with blue legs and a wind-up mechanism to its underside. The item is marked to its rear ‘Pat U.S.A. Apr. 23 1895 D.R. Patent Engl. Patent Made in Germany D-R G-M Marke Lehman’.

Condition

- untested; rust present; some surface scratches and discoloration; possible damage to wings, does not appear to sit flush with item.
