A circa 1960s oil painting on board by listed American artist and mid-century adventure magazine illustrator Norman Baer (20th-century). The piece depicts a group of three children playing on a yellow and pink jungle jim against a mottled blue sky and bare treetops. The work is signed ‘N. Baer’ in brown paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a floating gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; damage to board with media loss at top left and center left; wear to edges of board with dents, scratches and media loss present; some surface scratching present to image; wear, nicks and scuffing to frame.
