An abstract oil painting on canvas Seascape Sun by Cincinnati based contemporary artist Sarah Brown. This abstract composition is comprised of multiple textured layers of oil paint in colors of the sea; blue, green, gray, and violet. An abstracted horizon line and sun is implied in the upper portion of the composition. This piece has painted sides and does not require framing. The verso of this piece is signed and dated (’17) by hand in ink.

Brown studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of Hartford and Hartford Art School. She continued her studies with several nationally and internationally recognized artists while establishing her own mode of Abstract Impressionism. Her work has been accepted to and received awards at several group and solo shows and is currently on display in public and private collections throughout the Northeast. Sarah is now a resident of Cincinnati and finds the city a great inspiration. She currently works from her studio at the Pendleton Art Center.
