Seriolithograph on Paper After Itzchak Tarkay "Morning Social"

Item Details

In Plate

A seriolithograph on paper after well-listed artist Itzchak Tarkay (1935 – 2012), titled Morning Social. This print depicts colorfully dressed women sitting at two tables with tea and pastries set before them. The print is primarily printed using offset lithographic methods, with black serigraph accents to its surface. It is signed in-plate to the lower right corner and presented unframed. This print is presented with a certificate of authenticity from Park West Gallery.

Born on the Yugoslavia-Hungary border, Tarkay’s family was forced into Mauthausen Concentration Camp in 1944, freed a year later by the Allied forces. Tarkay went on to travel the world, creating a following for his distinct style. He says that he paints by instinct, and can no further explain his use of color as he can his own handwriting
