An oil painting on canvas of a steeple scene by listed artist Reynolds Selfridge (1898 – 1974). This painting depicts stylized figures standing in a gloomy town square, which is accented with a tall steeple and industrial buildings to the distance. To the lower right corner of the composition is a painted signature. The painting is presented under glass beneath matting in a gold tone wooden frame with D-rings to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- craquelure throughout; areas of paint loss throughout; buckling; frame has surface wear to edges and corners; debris under glass.
