WWII USAF A2 Hand Painted Bomber Jacket
Item Details
A hand-painted WWII issue leather bomber jacket. The jacket features a collarded neck with zip closure, shoulder lapels and flap pockets. cloth elastic cuff and waist. The interior is lined in brown nylon with a U.S. flat patch sewn over the original label. Two hand painted insignias were added to the jacket’s front and back which read ‘500th Sqdn. Rough Raiders’ and ‘345th B.G. Air Apaches’.

- jacket shows significant wear
- fraying to knit trim at cuffs and hip
- paint on left shoulder is worn away
- holes about chest insignia from name tag;
- flag patch sewn in lining over original label
