The figurines depict center-fielder Mickey Mantle, right-fielder Roger Maris, catcher Yogi Berra, pitcher Whitey Ford and more. These ten figurines stand on top of a wooden base with a brass plate on the underside that reads ‘The 1961 New York Yankees’ with a Cooperstown Collection logo. 1961 saw the famous home run race between Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle with Maris eclipsing Babe Ruth’s long standing record with sixty-one home runs in one season.
