Collection of Francis Beaugureau Serigraphs of Street Scenes

A collection of four serigraphs on composite board of Middle Eastern or North African street scenes by American artist Francis Beaugureau (1920–2011). Two prints depict a man riding a horse along a city street, one depicts two figures carrying a bag in front of an intricate yellow door, and the last print depicts male and female figures in a city marketplace. Each piece is signed by the artist in ink to the lower right. The works are presented without frames or mats.

Francis Beaugureau studied art at at the Frederic Mizen Academy and the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a B-17 pilot in World War II, and after moving to Scottsdale, AZ he worked as a commercial artist and portraitist. Beaugureau is known particularly for his western genre and aviation paintings, including his series of thirty oil paintings titled The Indian Wars in Arizona, 1846-1886.

- flaking paper remnants adhered to front of some prints; discoloration and accretions to edges; wear to edges of prints and boards.
