Cincinnati Bicentennial Fine Silver Rounds
Item Details
A set of three .999 fine silver 1 ounce rounds commemorating the bicentennial of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1988. Each round is inscribed “Cincinnati Bicentennial, 1788-1988” on the obverse and “One Ounce, Pure Silver .999 Fine” on the reverse. The rounds were minted in consecutive years beginning in 1986. The 1988 coin also states “Two Centuries of Progress.” The set represents six Cincinnati landmarks; the Cincinnati skyline, the Roebling Suspension Bridge, the Tyler-Davidson Fountain, the Ohio River, Music Hall, and the Delta Queen steamboat. Each round is encased in a clear plastic capsule holder and set in a display boxed lined with blue velvet.
