An oil copy painting on canvas by an anonymous artist after the original circa 1824 painting by well-listed American artist Henry Sargent (1770–1845), titled The Tea Party. This painting depicts a group of aristocratic men and women gathered in a well furnished, dimly lit interior conversing with one another, which is accented with blue drapes and an arched entryway. The unsigned painting is wrapped over a wooden stretcher and is placed in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. The original painting by Sargent is housed in the collection of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
