An antique English Edwardian secretary bookcase. This very early 20th century mahogany veneer and inlaid fall front secretary bookcase has a moulded cornice over a crossbanded frieze above the two inlaid and glazed doors of the book cabinet with the muntins arranged in a design of lozenges and squares, enclosing two adjustable shelves. The front of the desk, which serves as the writing surface when down is fitted with two drawers and eight pigeon holes; all above four drawers, one over the other, mounted with late Victorian embossed brass plates and bail pulls; all on four bracket feet. No apparent maker’s mark.
