Vintage Disston & Sons One-Man Crosscut Saw

A vintage one-man crosscut saw. The saw was made by the Disston & Sons for heavy pruning, trimming, felling small trees and other logging and landscaping tasks. It is identifiable as a crosscut saw by the type of on the blade and would not have been an uncommon tool before the advent of gas-powered chainsaws. The company made this type of saw in lengths ranging from three to five feet and there are still companies producing similar saws.

- there are broken teeth on the blade and the handle is cracked.
