An oil painting on canvas of an abstract cityscape by listed American artist James Sherman (1906 – 1989). This painting depicts a reflective body of water before a cluster of silhouetted skyscrapers. This painting features bold brushstrokes and is rendered in an an expansive palette of vibrant hues. It is signed by hand to the lower right corner. The painting is presented in a carved wooden frame with a white textile liner and a metal hanging wire to the verso.
