Antique Victorian Eastlake Style Burled Walnut Roll-Top Secretary Desk

An antique Victorian Eastlake style burled walnut roll top secretary desk, circa 1880. This desk features a roll top with two burl wood veneer panels and two gold tone pierced knobs. The interior of the desk offers open compartments and two small drawers with knobs, as well as a pull-out work surface. Below the roll top is a single full-width drawer above two stacked drawers on the left and a cabinet door on the right, all with burl veneers and incised horizontal lines. The drawers also include knapp or scallop-and-dowel joints (in use 1871 until circa 1900) and original brass bail pulls on stamped plates. The drawers and cabinet are flanked by stiles with Eastlake style incised decoration. It rests on a plinth base atop casters. There are no discernible makers mark.
