A set of four early 19th century Prussian 900 silver salt cellars by Christoph Philipp Hartung of Konigsberg. Each features an oval form with a beaded edge and an etched garland design around the exterior. They have gold washed interiors and rise upon four claw feet. The undersides feature the 1809-1812 Prussian tax mark with the initials ‘FW’ for King Friedrich Wilhelm followed by the Königsberg city mark, an ‘M’ in a cartouche, and ‘Hartung’ for Christoph Philipp Hartung. The total approximate weight is 12.320 ozt.
