Agate and Soapstone Chess Set

An agate and soapstone chess set. These black and white chess pieces have an ornate design, include petal-like bases and a pattern of cross-shaped holes in the main round segment of each piece. The board’s wooden base has a hinged lid and interior storage, with individual depressions for each piece in the blue cloth-lined interior. These pieces have no apparent maker’s marks.
