Early 16th-Century Page from a Book of Hours "The Coronation of the Virgin"

A hand-painted vellum leaf from a Parisian Book of Hours, dated 1510, depicting The Coronation of the Virgin. The main image depicts the Virgin being crowned by an Angel before God in an elaborate frame. Both sides of the page feature drop caps and black, blue, red, and gold inks. A sheet of descriptive information attributes the book as being made for Germain Hardouyn by Gilles Hardouyn. The page is held in off-white matting windows, wrapped in protective plastic.
