An oil painting on canvas by Austrian artist Franz Wallis (1883- ). The painting depicts choppy ocean waves, illuminated by a soft light, with several sea gulls flying overhead. It is signed in black to the lower left. Presented in a wooden frame with a gesso finish in white and gold tone and a beige wood liner. A hanging wire and a short printed artist biography are present to the verso.
Condition
- accretion to surface of painting. Extensive chipping and cracking to frame finish.
