Steinbach "Phantom of the Opera" Nutcracker

A Steinbach ‘Phantom of the Opera’ nutcracker. The nutcracker holds a rose in his hand and is dressed in a black suit with brocade vest, black opera cape decorated with lavender and teal bands of fabric and a felt hat with upturned brim and white feather. Attached to the hand of the nutcracker is a seal stamped ‘Steinbach, Prafent, Handmade from Germany, Hohenhameln Marienberg’. The base of the nutcracker is printed with the title ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and stamped the underside ‘Original Steinbach, Volkskunst, Germany, 313, SHWF’. The underside is also labeled with the same label attached to the cape.

Condition

- hand holding the mask is missing.
- slight damage to felt of hat.
