Georgian Style Carved Mahogany Kidney Shaped Desk

Item Details

A Georgian style mahogany carved desk circa 1940’s. This piece comprises a kidney-shaped top with a fitted piece of glass over a molded acanthus and bow carved frieze leading to a central conforming drawer with wreath and acanthus carvings and shaped and carved lower trim. Three dovetail joinery drawers flank either side and include keyhole escutcheons to the top drawers and carvings to the lowest drawers. Ornate carvings also appear on the projecting stiles, sides and claw feet. Unmarked.
