1920s or 30s GSW Railroad Kerosene Beacon Lantern With Original Glass Globe

Item Details

A GSW Beacon railroad lantern from the late 1920s or early 1930s. The steel frame lantern features a black finish to the metal with embossed mark ‘Beacon’ to the front. The lantern includes its original glass globe, which is marked ‘Made in Canada.’ The lantern is also marked ‘Made in Canada GSW Quality’ to the font, ‘GSW standing for “General Steel Wares,’ a Canadian company founded around 1927.

- finish wear and oxidation; discoloration to glass.
