Vintage 1847 Rogers Bros. "Old Colony" Silver Plate Flatware in Storage Chest

A set of vintage 1847 Rogers Bros. Old Colony X3 triple silver plate flatware in wood storage chest. The pattern was first introduced in 1911 and discontinued in 1973. Each piece has a pierced fiddle handle with floral swags and a personalized engraving. The set includes eight dinner knives, eight dinner forks, eight desert forks, eight table spoons, thirteen tea spoons, eight ice tea spoons, twelve tablespoons, butter spreader knife, small serving spoon, and shell handled ladle. Pieces are marked ‘1846 Rogers Bros XS Tripple’ to the undersides. The ladle is marked ‘S.E.B. S E Brass Base’. The Naken’s tarnish proof silver chest has dove tail corner joints and blue felted inner lining.
Condition
- minor surface wear including faint scratches and minimal tarnish; personalized engravings on some of the handles as shown. The chest is in good condition with minor markings from normal handling.
