Antique Victorian Pewter Pickle Castor With Mary Gregory Cranberry Glass Jar

Item Details

An antique Victorian pewter and cranberry glass pickle castor. The piece features a cranberry glass jar with hand-painted white enamel Mary Gregory style scene of a boy fishing. The jar is held in a stand with a hinged lid and a handle for carrying. The handle has a hook to the right side from which the ornate tongs are suspended. The base of the stand is decorated to all sides with the profile of a man encircled with an oval frame with birds and flowers around it. The piece is not marked.
