Item Details

A Chinese Republic era teapot and tea caddy from the first half of the 20th century. Made of bronze, both the teapot and tea caddy feature hand-painted églomisé reverse glass painted designs featuring highly detailed images of figures in a variety of activities. Both pieces feature octagonal brass bodies with scrolled designs. Both are marked in Chinese characters to the underside.

Condition

- to fair; some significant surface wear with scratches; one glass panel cracked; discoloration (DCCPLS).
