A signed High Elk Sioux pottery vase. The Native American vase features a design of triangular shapes over stepped mountains with four Native American symbols. The glaze gradually changes from black to green to pale green with clay toned mountains and a black band at the base. Signed ‘High Elk Sioux’ to the underside. High Elk is Sioux artist Jeanne’s name. She is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe and has been with Sioux Pottery since 1989.
