A graphite cartoon on paper captioned I thought acupuncture was done with a needle by listed artist Dink Spiegel (American, 1910 – 2003). Published in a 1973 copy of Playboy Magazine the work depicts a nude young woman in a doctor’s office. Signed by the artist in graphite to the lower left corner. Housed in a wood frame under acrylic glass and red matting. Spiegel was known for his cartoon illustrations featuring adult humor and nudity.
