An artist’s proof serigraph on paper titled Old Strip District by Turtle Creek folk artist Kathleen Ferri (Pittsburgh, 20th/21st-century), executed in the late 1990s. Colorful buildings fill the scene with steamboats, trains and a vast hill landscape with homes making up this folk art scene of Pittsburgh’s ‘Old Strip District.’ Notable landmarks are indicated by their signs including the Heinz factory, Allegheny Marine Supplies, the Iron Factory and St. Philomena’s Church. This print is after her original painting of the Strip at the turn of the century. Signed to the lower right, titled to the lower center, and artist’s proof edition to the lower left. The work remains unmounted and unframed.
