Antique Sterling Silver Verge Chain Pocket Watch With Dual Cases
Item Details
An antique British pocket watch with removable outer cover in sterling silver and glass. The watch is key wound and set with a verge chain mechanism. The unusual watch has no markings to the dial, which features a second sunk dial at the center with Roman numeral hour markings, identical to the outer dial. The works are engraved ‘James Northwood Newport Salon.’ British sterling hallmarks indicate the case was made in London in 1810.
