Item Details
A pair of Mid Century Modern Italian handmade and hand-painted stoneware pottery vessels. Included is a shorter stoneware bowl, featuring a rich, deep orange glazed interior and rim, with embossed patterns to the sides. The sides have been left the natural dark brown color of the fired clay, and the centers of the embossed designs are glazed in the same deep orange as the interior. The underside has an indistinct mark, along with ‘Italy’. Also included is a tall, cylindrical stoneware vase, featuring a tulip-shaped top. The sides are decorated with opaque green and white stripes, over embossed triangular designs. The interior is finished in a black gloss glaze. The underside is marked ‘Italy’, with number ‘4585A’.
