A set of two circa 1970s circus posters for Circus Vargas, each with the text ‘Under the Big Top’ printed along the top margin above the Circus Vargas logo. The posters were produced by Colby Poster Printing Co. and feature colorful offset lithograph imagery depicting circus animals including horses, a tiger, a dancing bear and more. Each print advertises a circus tour stop at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, with details printed to the lower margin. The posters are presented unframed.

Condition

- to Poor; paper is buckled; two large tears to top of each sheet, with holes present to corners; tears to surface at lower edge of one poster, with areas of media loss; wrinkling, staining and discoloration to both prints with wear and tape to edges; items are unframed.
