A signed first edition of the first two books of The CIBA Collection of Medical Illustrations by medical illustrator Frank H. Netter. Published by CIBA Pharmaceutical Company in 1983, these clothbound hardcover books feature color illustrations throughout after paintings by Netter depicting the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the human nervous system. This collection includes Nervous System Part I: Anatomy and Physiology and Nervous System Part II: Neurologic and Neuromuscular Disorders, which taken together are considered as ‘Volume 1’ of The CIBA Collection. An inscription in blue pen on the flyleaf reads ‘April 8, 1985 / To Dr. Richard Golden / with greetings & regards (and best birthday wishes) / Frank H. Netter M.D.’
