Richard Ward Winchester Clock
Item Details
A Richard Word Winchester mantel clock. The battery-powered clock has a case made to mimic a stack of books, some dealing in the occult. The finish resembles aged pebble leather and the titles are marked in gold paint on the ‘spines’. Several of the books are embellished with faux jewels and the area surrounding the face of the clock shows red faux jewels, a lion mask, and a pentagram. The ivory face has Roman numerals and filigree black hands and is surrounded by a cast metal ring with a pattern of scrolls. There is a small compartment on the top and a drawer in the lowermost ‘book’. The battery compartment is accessible though a door at the back and the clock stands on small scrolled feet. Untested.
