An oil painting on canvas by Natick, Massachusetts artist Joyce Goodman. The piece depicts a bucolic summer landscape scene with a reflective pond bordered with vibrant green trees and vegetation, set against a distant backdrop of hazy mountains. The work is signed ‘J. Goodman’ in blue paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. Joyce Goodman (1930-2017) was an American painter based out of Natick Massachusetts. Goodman is known for her traditional autumnal landscape scenes of rural Massachusetts, as well as her figure studies and explorations into contemporary abstraction.
