Antique Cast Iron Stand with Marble Top

Item Details

An antique, circa 1890-1900, cast iron stand with marble top. The ogee edged rectangular marble top rests over the cast iron base. The pierced base is gilt painted and features a number of decorative elements including scrolls, grapes with leaves, fans, and fleur di lis. The center features a prominent basket of flowers and the stiles are embellished with barley twists flanked by scrolled flames. The stand rests on a plinth base with an embossed border.

Condition

top has a large chip out of the rim in the back, the marble top appears to be warped as well.
