An original oil painting on canvas titled The Pool by listed American artist Allen H. Newton (20th century). Executed in a Post-Impressionist style with heavy impasto, the composition depicts a colorful, tree-filled landscape centered by a reflective stream. It is signed to the lower right ‘A H Newton’ and signed and titled on the verso ‘The Pool. / Allen H. Newton.’ The painting is housed in a wooden frame with a glossy white finish and there is a hanging wire and a custom framing label to the verso.
