Antique Flat Top Steamer Trunk
Item Details
An antique flat top steamer trunk, circa early 20th century. The wooden trunk features a rectangular, hinged lid opening to a vacant interior lined with blue-striped paper. The exterior is covered in green canvas with oak bumpers and brass tone corner brackets and fittings. It has lateral-mounted, brown leather handles as well as a frontal lock flanked by a pair of latches. The lock is marked ‘H. L. & E. WKS / Bloomfield N.J. / G & P / 050’.

Condition
- some stains/marks to canvas; shrinkage crack across top of lid; metal fittings and brackets with finish losses and dents; missing interior tray; paper lining with stains as well as tears/losses; leather handles intact but brittle and flaking; missing key; some rust to bottom/underside of trunk.
