1946 Lois Furukawa Signed Rookwood Pottery Ash Receiver

Item Details

A 1946 Lois Furukawa signed Rookwood Pottery ash receiver. The round receiver features three blue hand painted flying geese to the front on a cream ground, having two indented cigarette rests. The base has glazed artist initial ‘LF 22’, attributed to Lois Furukawa who decorated pottery from 1944 until 1948, an impressed Rookwood flame mark with date mark ‘XLVI’, and mold number ‘6922A.’ An incised “X” to the underside marks this item as a second.
