Italian Veneered Wood Book-Shaped Chest

Item Details

An Italian made wood veneered storage chest shaped like a stack of books. This small chest features an abstract patterned wood veneered top held with black metal decorative hinges that opens to a small storage area. Below are two veneered drawers with brass tone metal pulls. The chest is supported on shell adorned cabriole legs joined by an Avignon-style skirt. A stamp to the underside reads ‘Made in Italy’.

Condition

- crackling to veneered top; chip in wood trim to front corner; surface scratches, nicks and marks throughout; missing knob and 2 pieces of missing hardware.
