Item Details
An original 2013 oil painting on canvas by contemporary American equestrian genre painter Ron Lightner. The painting depicts a realistic view of the famed American racehorses Man O’ War and Secretariat. The two stand in the door of a barn painted in bright shades of yellow and white. A pair of barn cats and shelves lined with supplies for the animals are visible inside of the building. The horses are each labeled to the bottom of the piece, and the painting is signed and dated ‘4-13’ to the lower right. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with a faux woven inner edge and a fly-specked finish. A hanging wire is attached to the piece’s verso.
