A vintage oil painting on canvas of the California coast by well-listed American artist George Bickerstaff (1893 – 1954). This piece depicts foamy blue waves breaking against boulders illuminated by the sun against a cloudy blue sky, with water collecting in rivulets on a dark rock in the foreground. The work is signed in paint to the lower right and presented in a gold tone wood and gesso frame, wired to hang.

- minor accretion to surface of painting; minor edge wear to paint and craquelure; surface wear, accretion and stains to the verso.
