D.C. Johnson Oil Painting "Late Summer"
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas, titled Late Summer, by artist D.C. Johnson. This work depicts a painterly interpretation of a yellow-grassed field with a low stone wall cutting across its center, a white barn visible in the distance. This work is signed and dated ‘D.C. Johnson ’95’ to its lower right corner and is mounted in a gold tone frame with a wire for hanging to its verso. There is a pen notation to the verso and plaque to the lower edge of the frame, both reading ‘Late Summer, North Stonington 1995, D.C. Johnson.’
