19th Century French J.P. Painted "Deux Indiscretes" Porcelain Charger

A mid nineteenth century French Limoges porcelain painted charger. The piece was painted by the firm of F. B of Paris. The scene depicting a pair of well-dressed woman standing covertly at the base of a staircase, watching a courting couple in a garden and is signed by the artist’s initials ‘JP’. The porcelain is marked ‘L. & Cie’ or ‘L & Company for Limoges. This work is presented in a carved wooden frame with a wire for hanging and a stamp reading ’L. & Cie’ and an ‘F.B. Paris’ mark to its verso.
