Antique English Pine Merchant's Cabinet

Item Details

An beautiful and rustic antique English pine merchants cabinet, circa 1860. The hutch features a crown molding with bump out pediment center over a row of balustraded arches and full-turned turned columns above two rows of apothecary drawers with white knob pulls terminating in beveled molding. The hutch rests on top of a four by three drawer collection with drop bail pulls and escutcheons, finishing in a plinth base. The cabinet includes hand cut dovetail joinery and exposed drawer stretcher dado joint ends. The piece has a wax applied finish. Purchased in London.
