A reproduction print after an oil painting by Charles Lundgren (American, 1911 – 1988) titled _U.S.S. Hartford with a John Paul Jones US Bicentennial Stamp with a ‘First Day of Issue’ postmark. The print depicts the Civil War era sloop-of-war and another sailing ship and is signed in the plate to the lower right. The stamp is affixed to the lower margin and features a portrait of th Revolutionary War naval commander John Paul Jones and is cancelled with a 1979 Annapolis, Maryland postmark. The print is mounted under glass with red and navy layered mats in a gilt wood frame that is wired for hanging.
