US Model 1902 Officer's Saber with Steel Scabbard
Item Details
A US model 1902 officer’s saber with its original steel scabbard. Features a long, slightly curved blade etched with floral designs and the initials ‘U.S.’, with the logo for the Wm. H. Horstmann Company, Philadelphia and ‘Made USA’ to the ricasso; the reverse features an ‘E Pluribus Unum’ eagle, and the name Charles A. Terry, Jr., in a scroll font. The hilt has a black molded grip, a convex backstrap with a capped pommel, and a four-branched knuckleguard terminating in a counterguard and drop finial. A black and gold ribbon is tied around the guard, and the original steel scabbard is included.
