Antique Writing Desk

Item Details

A circa 1900 antique writing desk, in wood with a black-painted finish. It has a two-tiered stair-step design, with a shaped gallery edge, and three drawers. The drawers have red painted fronts with hand-painted gold tone scrolling leaf designs, and hanging brass pulls. The piece stands on rounded, lathe-turned legs, and is unmarked.

Condition

- cosmetic damage consistent with age, including: wear to paint, especially to the top surfaces; faint water rings to desktop near front right corner; metal discoloration to drawer pulls; light scuffs and scratches.
